How does the Pacific Northwest Film Camp and the Rocky Mountain Handmade Filmmaking Camp?
The principle difference has to do with facilities and location: the Rocky Mountain Camp has a more extensive darkroom and more extensive equipment. It focuses on chemistry, processes, and equipment, and the mountain environment.
The Pacific Northwest Camp has a more basic darkroom, and is a bit more focused on eco- and outdoor processing, the photographic possibilities of the abundant local plants, and the marine location.
Both retreats share the nature of film itself, and teaching of the same basic chemistry and processing explanations are part of both. Both also take place in peaceful and beautiful natural locations, and both share a commitment to good food in a supportive small group context.
